Right. Scratch that.

FRIAR LAURENCE
On Thursday, sir? the time is very short.
PARIS
My father Capulet will have it so,
And I am nothing slow to slack his haste.
FRIAR LAURENCE
You say you do not know the lady's mind:
Uneven is the course, I like it not.
PARIS
Immoderately she weeps for Tybalt's death,
And therefore have I little talk'd of love;
For Venus smiles not in a house of tears.
Now, sir, her father counts it dangerous
That she doth give her sorrow so much sway,
And in his wisdom hastes our marriage,
To stop the inundation of her tears;
Which, too much minded by herself alone,
May be put from her by society:
Now do you know the reason of this haste.
FRIAR LAURENCE
[Aside] I would I knew not why it should be slow'd.
Look, sir, here comes the lady towards my cell.
Enter JULIET
PARIS
Happily met, my lady and my wife!
JULIET
That may be, sir, when I may be a wife.
PARIS
That may be must be, love, on Thursday next.
JULIET
What must be shall be.
FRIAR LAURENCE
That's a certain text.

mmmm hooray for Christmas cookies. And solstice celebrations with the girls at 8, and then Shawn and Helen's dorm room. How trashed do I really want to get? I wish ma'ayan would come. oy.
and I'm too embarassed to tell my parents I'll be spending the night. I'm such a goof.
Oh well. More cookies will make me feel better.
and lyric poetry?
hell no.

I'm such a horrible person to Sarah Pepper. It's reprehensible. Even as we speak (as I write) I could be writing her a long, apologetic letter about how sorry I am that I never write. I didn't even think to get her a Christmas present. I suck. Oh and she got to go to a camp reunion....I'm so jealous. It's been way too horribly long. I _will_ apply over break. Swear to god.
Coffee date with Ben at 1. He's so gay it's marvelous. What a dear.
It feels way too early in the year for New Year's to be right around the corner. People bloody graduate in 2003. There's an entire class of people that will be gone. It's really scary somehow. I mean, my graduation feels forever away, but since getting here time has become speedy quick in a frightening way. Or maybe I'm just starting to type slower.
Got to go get my laundry. Love.

more lyrics, what else is new.
and everywhere I go
and everyone I see
somehow
almost sets me free

not even relevant, either, just a wonderful song. and now I'm just using lyric-posting as a break from doing work. I might as well reading katie's e-mail if I'm looking for something vaguely productive to do.

You can like the life you're livin;
You can live the life you like.
You can even marry Harry
But mess around with Ike.
And that's
Good, isn't it?
Grand, isn't it?
Great, isn't it?
Swell, isn't it?
Fun, isn't it?
But nothing stays...
In fifty years or so
It's gonna change, you know
But, oh, it's heaven
Nowadays.

two days to go till my departure. thanksgiving break totally threw me off--there's no unstoppable sense of anticipation right now like the one that accompanied the week before that break. just the feeling that all of this semester will be behind me, and now next semester can start kicking my ass. hooooray. mmm. fuck.
but really then, things are good. last night was so painful. why don't people know when to leave? four hours is a ridiculously long time, especially when max is in the room bringing the snobbery and disgustingness of conversation to a fever pitch. I really don't give a fuck what any of you had time to read before you got here. I'm glad that you've already read half of everything we're reading next semester. truly I am. but when it becomes a contest of how many bradbury short stories we can comment on, it becomes ridiculous. and pathetic and infuriating. I felt like gagging.
plus Daniel was bizarrely impatient last night. and Miguel definitely added another curious element to that mix of folk. hmph.
ok. History. bring it.
